A Punchcard Surprise

Do I have your attention with the title?  Stick with me, and hopefully it will make sense.  A few years ago, before any of us Johnson siblings had children, my dad mentioned in an off-hand remark that if we gave him 9 grandchildren, he would buy a family lake cabin at Priest Lake.  He may have been joking, but we all considered it a verbal agreement.  Katie and Bryan, and Chad and I have been doing our best to get the process in motion.  Recently Katie and Bryan announced that they are expecting baby #2.  So, Chad and I thought it would be fun to make a little punchcard and send it to my parents.  It looked a little something like this:

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson thought it was funny, and then they saw three punches on our portion of the punchcard.  That's right, folks, we are expecting LaVine Baby #3!

Let me answer one question that you're probably thinking right now:  Did you guys plan this??  No we didn't plan this...  I'm a planner, and I would not have planned to find out I'm preggo shortly after the sale of our house.  Nor would we have planned to have a baby with a due date of December 28th.  (And in answer to Sister-in-law Katie's question, yes, we do know how this happens.)  But, we are very excited about this new adventure, and I think God is trying to teach us that we have very little say in how our life is planned out. 

It's hard to imagine what the third LaVine will be like.  Jack and Haylee are so different, as evidenced in some pictures I took of them sleeping recently:

 Will Number 3 be like Haylee, who sleeps like the free spirit she is?

Or a more ordered person like Jack who barely moves all night long?  

Who knows, but we're excited to find out!
