We enjoyed a few days of sunny weather before the rain set in. The beach was beautiful and we spent a lot of time walking, digging in sand, and relaxing. I'm now convinced that the beach is the best place for kids to play. There's tons of room to run around and lots of sand for digging. It's perfect.

A family on the beach had a dog that loved to fetch the rocks Jack was throwing. It was a nice dog, but slightly confused the whole time as he could never find the rock to bring back to Jack.
There is a small river that runs into the ocean at Cannon Beach. When the tide is low, it's the perfect place for kids to run around and swim.

Haylee loved running on the beach. She would start running and say, "I'm running!!" It reminded us of this scene in "What About Bob?"
