We're preparing to move into our house this weekend, and have been working hard to get things ready. So, I thought I'd give a little sneak peek of one of the changes that has occurred over the last two weeks.
BEFORE: Here's the living room/entry way. Notice the beautiful, stained blue carpet and un-kid-friendly metal railing. Also, the walls were an interesting pinkish beige-y color. They don't look pink in the picture, but believe me, they had a definite pink tone to them.
AFTER: Almost done with newly painted walls, trim, an almost-finished, much-sturdier half wall (thank you, Chad!), and new clean carpet. There have been a lot of hands working hard on the house for the last couple weeks, and we so appreciate ALL the help from both sets of parents, siblings, and friends. Funny picture of the kids, I know. They were so excited to be running all over the house, checking things out. There is still a bit of an overwhelming list of things to do in the next couple of days, but it'll get done.
We have been sneaking in some fun here and there, too. Raking leaves and jumping in piles have been popular activities, and consequently, great energy-burners! ;)
Carving pumpkins has quite possibly been the highlight of Jack's life at this point.

Fabulous transformation there, Kim! And such sweet photos of the kids with leaves. All of our lovely autumn leaves are wet and mucky right now! Hey, by the way, what kind of camera do you have? (I still have such fond memories of "le click")
Blessings on the moving-in process!
